COP26 (UN Climate Change Conference 2021), Glasgow

The UK hosted the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October – 13 November 2021. The COP26 summit brought parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

COP26 was a rollercoaster of emotions but a project that I’m very proud to have been a part of with an amazing production team from Identity Group. The team delivered the most well-attended COP in history, and the largest international summit to ever take place in the UK.

My role as Producer, Theme Days involved co-ordinating and managing all the content and delivery across nine (9) Presidency Programme Theme Days, supported by a team of Producers and Graphics Operators which produced and facilitated these mini-events across a 2-week programme. Theme Days for COP26 included Finance; Energy; Youth & Empowerment; Adaptation, Loss & Damage; Gender; Transport; Nature and Cities, Regions & Built Environment.

200 World Leaders, 2 weeks and 200,000 on-site FitBit steps. It was a personal climate change education allowing me the opportunity to listen to controversial debates, work with inspirational and dedicated people plus have a few ‘pinch me’ moments.
